Perfect Harmony

Perfect Harmony - Shaloa Robinson This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest review.
This book was an easy read, very fluent and with some plot twists that keep you focused and the characthers are well done and have a certain depht.
The story itself is interesting and really portraits some aspects of a teenagers life, like having to take care of your friends and family, while taking care of yourself and other things like that.
You can see how the relatuionships between Harmony and Troy and Harmony and Julian develop as Harmony herself also does.
It's a very educating heart-touching story and every teenager and parent should read it, since I think it could help both to see from other point of view.
I think this book only has two major mistakes:
1- It has so many grammatical mistakes that even I, a non-native speaker with only the foreign language level of english from public education, could pick up on them!
2- The end was so abrupt that I tought that the epub had been damaged and had to check out wath was happening.
If you like contemporary reads you'll appreciate this story.

Down The Wormhole (Wormhole Stories #1)

Down The Wormhole (Wormhole Stories #1) - Ana Franco This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest review.
I'll start this review in an unnusual way by stating that I'm deeply impressed with this book!
Down the Wormhole is the first book in the Wormhole Stories series by Ana Franco.
This book talks about Kitty an orphan that arrives into an very unnusal orphanage, she doesn't know her full name, to herself and others she's just Kitty.
When Kitty realizes she has met several mythical creatures, like Anubis, Medusa and Amergin, all being in deep trouble.
Kitty has to help her friends and herself as she discovers her role in their story and starts to look at the world in a different way.
Being so well written and with a very interesting plot this book amazed me completely! I didn't think it was possible to mix so many kinds of mythology and actual world facts and mix them all up in a very addicting story.
As this is a short kind of book I think it was very pleasant to read and advise it to people who are in exam season and just want to take their minds of the textbooks for a little while.
You can really see how Kitty changes through the book and admire the maturity she gained by the end of the story!
If you like mythology, parallel universes and short and sweet stories you're in luck because you have the perfect opportunity to really enjoy an amazing book!

Red Queen

Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard Oh my GOD! I can't even start a review for this book since it's completely amazing!
This book reunites every single aspect that I love in YA : it has romance, it has bad guys, it has a female lead, etc.
Victoria Aveyard you are a queen of fairytales!

Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg

Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg - Gail Carson Levine, David Christiana Loveeeee itttttttt since I was a baby! I'm almost 17 and I still love it! It's so beautiful.

A Stolen Life

A Stolen Life - Jaycee Dugard This book is very spooky and can easily impress someone because has some very real and explicit scenes.
I still don't believe that a human being was able to do this to another human being, especially the second being a little innocent girl.
This book has opened my eyes for some situations and has taught me to never trust a stranger.
I hope that some countries governments read this book so they can see why they have to promote law enfforcement eficiency and why they have to closely wath anyone with priors to major crimes (without deleting their records).

Wicked

Wicked - Jennifer L. Armentrout loved the new view on fae people! Can't wait to continue reading! Jennifer never ever let's me down!

Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy

Cravings

Cravings - Lynn Crandall http://addictedbookslover.blogspot.pt/2015/03/cravings-by-lynn-crandall.html

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1)

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief - Rick Riordan I'm crazy about Percy! I laughed so much while I was reading this book!
I always heard good thigns about it but was only when I read it and loved it that I decided that I have to bow to Rick Riordan because I'm sixteen and I just read a mid grade novel and loved it !

Mockingjay

Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins I have to say that I'm really really disappointed with how this story ended ( maybe because I'm a sucker for Gale).
This book is one of the rare books that I like the movie better than the book story.
Katniss is SO FRUSTRATING!

Let It Snow

Let It Snow - John Green, Lauren Myracle, Maureen Johnson The stories were very envolving and I loved how they were all related in a very uncommon way and how they completed each other.
On the downside, it was too slow pace for me and sometimes I got a little bored.
In general I liked it.

Boundless

Boundless - Cynthia Hand I was not waiting for how this book ended! I'm shocked!
Being shocked is not a bad thing because it still ended like in one of the best ways possible but it was still very very very unespected, emphasis on very!
Clara and Tucker or Clara and Christian? You'll find out, you'll be shocked and you'll be amazed.

Size 12 Is the New Black: A Novel

The Bride Wore Size 12 - Meg Cabot Heather and Cooper are finally together! I was waiting for this for ages!!!!
This book is so sweet and so adventurous and humurous.
It makes me so happy!

Anna And The French Kiss (Review)

Reblogged from Books and a Mug of Coffee:
Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins

Goodreads summary:Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

In first place can we talk about how freaking cute this book is? I don’t read a lot of this kind of books, not really my type but this book made me want to read more of this type to be honest.

When I started the book I instantly got caught by it and just stopped reading when I finally finished it.

The way Stephanie Perkins described Paris helped me to imagine every place they visited building a perfect atmosphere and scenery what brought the story to life. She did a really great job.

I really liked Anna she was a really retable character. She wasn’t a remarkable or memorable character at all but for sure a really fun one. She was so lost at the beginning of the book, for sure I've never been shipped off to a foreign boarding school but surely I’ve experienced the feeling of being an outsider and being completely lost in my surrounding. I really enjoyed reading her journey and her self-development. She has a lot to learn and adjust to in Paris, thankfully she gets friends with people who lived there for years, like St.Clair…

Oh…Étienne…He’s such a charming, confident and sweet character. He was such a good character to read about, I surely loved his attitude and he was so sweet since the beginning of the book helping Anna to adjust to the city. He has a Brithish accent tho, I really couldn’t resist but love him.

Anna and Étienne have an amazing chemistry; every time they were together my heart couldn’t help it but melt. The only thing that really frustrated me was the fact he had a serious relationship, I know his girlfriend was in another school and it was easier for him to live all this adventures with Anna but still, it was the only thing that bothered me in the book.

This was an entertaining and heart-warming read. If you like YA contemporary you surely should give this book a chance!

SPOILER ALERT!
